Maharashtra Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is an initiative that was started by the chief minister, Shri Eknath Shinde, for the welfare and empowerment of women of the state. Through this yojana, all the eligible female beneficiaries will receive financial assistance of INR 15,00 per month directly into their bank accounts. The yojana will play a major role in promoting gender equality and self-dependence, as they don’t have to depend on anyone for their basic requirement for their healthy lifestyle. To reduce corruption government will directly transfer the promised amount into the bank accounts of eligible applicants using the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) method.
